The first week can feel like a list of things everyone else already knows. Start with the few details that make each day work: where your classes are, how long the walk takes, and which office to contact when a timetable changes.

Save a copy of your timetable somewhere you can reach without a connection. Find the library, a quiet place to work, drinking water, and the closest place to ask for help. Small bits of orientation save a surprising amount of time later.

Introduce yourself to one person in each class and agree to share updates if either of you misses an announcement. You do not need to build an entire network in a day. One reliable contact is a good start.

At the end of the week, look back at what was confusing. Write down the questions you still have and ask them while the term is young. A first week is for learning the system, not for getting everything perfect.
